CEDA - Community and Economic Development Association of Cook Count, Inc. Helps seniors and those who qualify with payment assistance through LIHEAP - Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a state and federally funded program that's free to all participants.  All households must be given the opportunity to apply. If any individual is suspected of charging for these services, there will be an immediate investigation and all information will be forwarded to the Attorney General's Office.

 

The program begins September 1st with a priority period for Seniors and Disabled individuals only. 

September 1st to October 31 we will serve:

  • Seniors (60 years or older)
  • Disabled Individuals (permanently disabled with written proof)

      * From 10/1 to 10/31 the state may allow applications for:

          Imminent disconnects (final notice of disconnects within the next seven days) &

           Disconnected households (household without utility service)

   *Dates and Criteria are subject to change per the State
